Thousands Line Up for the First Pour of Beerfest

DENVER-- Barley and hops were on everyone's mind as they waited for hours outside the Denver Convention Center on Oct. 11.  The 2013 Great American Beerfest as usual was filled to the brim with microbreweries and beer connoisseurs.

Zombie Crawl in Denver

DENVER--On Saturday Oct. 9 thousands of the undead swarmed to 16th Street Mall to show their scariest face.  There was a zombie for every occasion, from Mary Poppins to caged zombies to small princesses it was a terrorific sight to see!

Heroic Actions by D.C. Police Lead to Devastating Consequence

WASHINGTON D.C.--  At approximately 2:12pm Eastern Time a woman driving a black Infiniti Sedan attempted to break through an outer perimeter check point at the White House. An officer was struck by the unauthorized vehicle which then fled down Pennsylvania Ave. toward the Capitol building. Gunshots were fired by police at several locations to stop the Sedan. 

After pushing through a barricade the pursuit finally ended at which point more gunshots were fired, inevitably killing the unarmed and unstable female driver. A one-year-old child was in the backseat and was quickly rescued by D.C. police. The child was taken to a medical care facility near by and is in good health.

Barricade tape continues to be unraveled and strewn across Louisiana and Constitution Streets on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C.  The police vehicle that hit a barricade erected to stop the unauthorized Sedan sits waiting while Metropolitan Police close the streets and force onlookers off the grass and streets.  Photo by Ashley Hattle.

Secret Service spokesman Ed Donovan gives details of the investigation underway.  The black Infiniti Sedan first struck temporary security fencing at a White House checkpoint before fleeing towards the Capitol building.  The Sedan also hit a uniformed division officer at this very outer perimeter entrance.  Shots were fired at several locations during the police chase.  Photo by Ashley Hattle.
