After pushing through a barricade the pursuit finally ended at which point more gunshots were fired, inevitably killing the unarmed and unstable female driver. A one-year-old child was in the backseat and was quickly rescued by D.C. police. The child was taken to a medical care facility near by and is in good health.

Secret Service spokesman Ed Donovan gives details of the
investigation underway. The black
Infiniti Sedan first struck temporary security fencing at a White House
checkpoint before fleeing towards the Capitol building. The Sedan also hit a uniformed division
officer at this very outer perimeter entrance.
